This is the spot of classic Teton photos. It is an excellent sunrise shot. We went very early and set up our cameras in the dark. Then one of our group went inside the church and lit up the windows with a flashlight. We did long exposures and the stained glass windows glowed. While you're there also walk down to Menor's Ferry. That is the way folks crossed the Snake River before there was a bridge. The little general store there as well as the building full of old carriages is a lot of fun.
Oh if you do go there early to catch the early morning light be careful of he holes. There are some animal made holes in the area in front of the church that are hidden by the sage. It's easy to step in one and sprain your ankle.
