My boyfriend and I stopped here for lunch while visiting Grand Marais on a road trip. At first glance, the place has a cool/casual/relaxed vibe, so we figured we would like it. We sat at the bar and waited for quite some time for someone to notice us. The bartender who finally acknowledged our presence laughed and made excuses for not seeing us sooner. The drinks were good. We struggled to find something that sounded good on the menu (personal taste, of course) and finally decided to go with pizza. Again, we waited and waited for someone to ask us for our order. No one did, so we flagged down a waitress. When we got the pizza, it was still cool. At this point we were very irritated. I will say this: the flavor of the pizza was wonderful, but eating it cold completely over shadowed this. The gal who placed our order offered to reheat it, but we were so unhappy that we just decided to leave. It's worth mentioning one other thing that really bothered us during out visit -- not only the lack of quality service, but the unprofessionalism of some of the staff members -- one gal was running around in a tank top with arm holes so big that her under garments could be seen and she had a very "unkept" appearance. Yeah, I know this is the Iron Range and people here have thick skin, but come on, you're not only catering to the locals and I'm sure I'm not the only customer who was repulsed by this. Will not dine here again.
