We stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon! The drive up was so beautiful! The trees were snow covered like white cotton candy and were so breathtaking!
On arrival, they were so helpful on where to go and how to get to our cabin.
We decided on the housekeeping plan since we really didnt want to see people too often, and just hide away, so we actually brought groceries along with us to use for lunch and some dinners.
The breakfasts were so good. My husband had the fried walleye for breakfast every morning and I had a wide range of things from french toast, pancakes, and oatmeal. We had it delivered to our room every morning which was so nice!
We did go have dinner onenight in the dining room and were so entertained by the deer eating right next to our window. The salad alone was a work of art! And the rest fo the dinner was yummy as well! And the dessert - the tirimu (sorry I cant spell) was out of this world. I had never had such a good one before!!!!!!!!
We went on a dogsled ride, and went on walks and drives exploring the gunflint trail every day. We fed the deer every day and enjoyed watching them and was even able to recongize some of them as regular eaters and we actually named them for the fun of it!
The service was outstanding. They knew us by our names! The check in and check out process was so easy and well.... everything was great! What else is there to say!
