“Nice food and ambience for hotel restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

After travelling all day we were lucky to find that the Courtyard Marriott had a restuarant. Food was quite nice - good chips and salsa - nice cold beer in the separate bar. Overall a pleasant experience.

“Awful food AND service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

We stayed at the Courtyard for 2 nights and as the outside seating area of this restaurant looked appealing and relaxing, we tried to get into on our 1st night. We were told the restaurant was full so booked a table for the following night (23 Sep) instead.
On 23rd we arrived early, confirmed our reservation with the greeter, then had a drink in the bar. There was no table available at our allotted time and they rushed to get one ready for us. Very strange and unorganised. We got a very small table – hardy enough space for 2 people and someone flew past and almost threw cutlery at the table without a word being said (not our waitress I have to say, someone setting tables). Again very strange behaviour. Our waitress was actually very polite and helpful, so the low rating here is not for her.
We had a starter to share of Chorizo mushrooms, great except it didn’t actually contain Chorizo only minced beef. My partner ordered trout with sweet potato fries which was awful – dry to the point of being inedible. It was blatantly obvious this dish had been overcooked and sitting under hot lamps for a long time. I had chicken with a sauce of smoked ham & mushrooms – it was very amateurish – something I would have cooked in my student days when I didn’t know how to cook properly.
We complained about the fish and our bill was reduced by $4.20 – wow!!!
Don’t eat here – go down the road to Canyon King Pizza for a 5* meal by people who know how to run a restaurant.

Good food and were happy to adapt their menu to accomodate gluten free. Nice atmosphere and reasonably priced.

“Good Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

Thought the food was better than your average hotel restaurant. There was a good range of choices available at a reasonable cost. Ordered a salad with the plan to have dessert, too. The salad was delicious and fresh, but didn't have room for the desserts and they looked yummy.
