“Seriously "ezze" going”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

Couldn't agree more with BartDV's review. We had a very relaxing two nights stay here. This cozy, ideally located, quiet little motel (max 10 rooms), combines the privacy of your own (not so big) room, with the convenience of a shared fully equipped kitchen and bbq. We really enjoyed having breakfast and a freshly cooked dinner in the cozy backyard. Most of all, it's the (new) owners that make the difference.
Dear "Flash" Gordon and Matt, thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is a great place to stay when visiting Page. The rooms are basic but clean, but most of all the atmosphere is great. Although the rooms are on the small side, you get to use the fully equipped kitchen and there is a very cosy back garden with tables, chairs and fairy lights.
The place was just under new management, and because a lot of guests had asked if there was a barbecue, the new owner had just bought a new one. On the night of our stay a lot of guests wanted to use it, so the owner offered to cook the meat for everyone, and he was making sure everyone was comfortable. It was a great night.
It's a perfect place if you plan to visit all the scenery around Page and are looking for a nice and relaxing evening.

We booked two nights in Lulu's Sleep Ezze Motel and enjoyed our stay. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We arrived late and they were waiting just for us - very obliging!

Our room was clean and sufficient. There is no fridge in the room but you can use the big one in the open kitchen.

The location of the motel is close to several restaurants, groceries and all tour-companies. We can absolutely recommend this place!

You should definitely prebook - it's very busy during peak season!

Not a resort style place but we were just in Page for one night and getting up 6 a.m. the next day (a side warning: your cellphones may not display correct local time!!). This is an older but refurbished small motel with perhaps a dozen rooms all on one level. The rooms are smallish and simple but clean and not shabby, and there's a shared kitchen you can use (+refrigerator+ice), and a grill. Bar soap but no shampoo. Yes, the air conditioning units are a bit noisy but I suspect if they were to upgrade the AC then the price would also have to go up. I slept through the white noise.

I can't rate value since I didn't pay for this one! There was a guy in his 30's and his father. Neither looked like a LuLu so perhaps LuLu has gone to the Big Motel. The guy seemed in charge and was friendly and helpful. Still, if they run the place on their own then they can't staff the desk 24/7. When we told them we were leaving at 7 in the morning they said they would put the coffeemaker on timer. Given that others are saying it was good value I think the small issues I have seen in other reviews, and when we were there, basically reflect you're not paying for a modern hotel chain's facilities.

Tip: If you're going on a rafting trip the next morning this place is petty close to the rafting company's.

Room Tip: Rooms on west side are on slightly busier street but I didn't hear excessive street noise since...

The owner, Lulu, was super nice and helpful. The room is a bit small but fine for a short stay. Motel only has one floor so no noise from upstairs. This is one of the more affordable places in Page, AZ so it's a good value.

Having arrived in Page with no-where booked we came across LuLu's and remembered it from our guidebook. We saw quite a few no-vacancy signs in the street and really didn't fancy a Holiday Inn so thought we'd see if there was anything available here and thankfully there was. The value was great and the room was fine for a small motel - it was clean and tidy, although the air-conditioning unit was too loud to sleep with meaning it did get quite stuffy at night. We were looking for a quiet evening as we had a long day ahead of us and found that the patio table was a lovely and relaxing place to sit with a bottle of wine.

Room Tip: We had an end room and although there was Wifi it didn't reach quite far enough and we had to be...

After explaining we were arriving around midnight and getting confirmation that it was fine we arrived at 12:30 at night to find Lulu's closed. We were left with nowhere to stay for the night with every hotel in town showing no vacancies.

Calling their phone we heard it ringing in the office and no-one answered. We searched for a lockbox or envelope with keys but there was none to be found. We spoke to the managers of other nearby hotels and the gas station to see if they knew where to find the staff of Lulu's. After several unanswered calls we left a voicemail that they were to call us immediately.

We waited until 2 AM for a person to appear but no-one did. I left a note with our confirmation number and details of our booking with a message to call me immediately on receiving the note. I simultaneously sent an email to Lulu's with the same message.

We were forced to drive hotel to hotel to find a hotel with a vacancy. Our thanks to the desk staff at the travelodge who were able to point us in the direction of another hotel with the last 3 rooms in Page. We ended up paying an inflated price for a very low standard room elsewhere (I have video of me killing a cockroach) but it was all that was available.

I picked Lulu's as it had good reviews on yelp; there was one bad review on trip advisor where Lulu's had called to cancel their reservation about a week before they were to check in, but that seemed like the exception.

I made reservations at Lulu's for memorial weekend about 10 days in advance and explained we would be arriving late (the road to Flagstaff is closed making it a 7 hour drive from Phoenix). The person on the phone said that our late arrival wouldn't be a problem.
On the Friday evening we called several times as we wanted to check if we needed a code for a lockbox or if they would be there in person. However, no-one answered and we left a voicemail with out questions and a call back number.

I've never got a call back from Lulu's. 2 days later I got an email from Lulu's that they'd had an emergency and that they were sorry. I responded that I would expect they would have some form of plan to cover emergencies and that they could cover the cost difference between our reservation price and the other motel's price, which was about $40. They emailed back that they wouldn't charge me for the weekend, which I believe would constitute fraud since they we were prevented from ever checking in.
