“Minimal rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2009

Very old rooms, but clean. Breakfast was just a bagel and coffee. No coffee pot in room, but did have fridge and microwave. Bedding was very nice. Hotel attendant stood outside office and smoked often. Made whole area stink, but overall was reasonable for the price. Make sure you have the value card from America's Best Value Inn's to get 15% off the lowest rate.

We arrived here at 6pm & out the front parked, on the curb was a caravan with 8 or so people sitting on deck chairs, drinking alcohol. Our room was so tiny, my husband, my friend & myself had to walk around the beds sideways just to get to the bathroom. The bathroom was filthy, the toilet looked like it had been painted, there was mould behind the tap (how did that get there?). The sheets on the beds were so small & threadbare that we spent most of the night tucking them back in, the mattress protector was tiny & dirty. The microwave had the glass plate missing.
The next morning my friend went to get a cup of coffee which, according to the hotel directory was available from 6am, to be told that the coffee wouldn't be available till 7.30!!! So at 7.30am we went to get our "complimentary breakfast" which was served in the office! Surely this a breach of the health act? The girl receptionist was also helping the patrons - 4 deep in this tiny little office - get their "breakfast", which comprised of a plate of some sort of cheese substance, a bottle of squeezable butter & a loaf of bread, with some coffee.
Not a pleasurable time at all.

We stayed here for two night at the end of July. We had actually booked for 4 nights through expedia but after 2 nights I couldn't stay any longer. The sheets are very thin and the bathroom is very dodgy, the water dial for the shower is held onto the wall by an extra washer and screw, the tiles are broken, the door has been damaged. I didn't feel comfortable there, so we checked out two days early, luckily the manager was nice and refunded us two nights accommodation. We paid $106 per night through expedia but on the back of the front door of the room the sign says its $39.95 p.n.. Not sure how that works? Both my children got terrible tummy bug when we stayed here. Not a good place for families.

The picture of this place on the websites is VERY misleading. This is the place for you ONLY if your idea of ambiance is screaming from other rooms, broken bear bottles in the parking lot, and a room that looks like it could use disinfecting, let alone a cleaning. I tried to change my reservation but it was too late. SPEND THE EXTRA 20 BUCKS AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!! It got to the point where my wife and I didn't feel 100% safe, and I checked on our car a couple of times during the evening.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. It has a very good location near Lake Powell and Glen Cayon Dam. Check in is at 3:30 p.m. and staff makes no exception even if the room is already available. We arrived at 3:10 p.m. and they made us wait at the reception counter until it was exactly 3:30 p.m.. The room was large and clean with very comfortable beds. Small but very clean bathroom. The pool was closed for cleaning etc.. There was no mentioning about that on their website when booking this hotel that the pool is only open from May 15. It was 100 degrees F and we would have loved to use the pool or sit outside in the evening. But this hotel, unlike other hotels in the area, is not taking advantage of the beautiful views and weather. Therefore, they have absolutely no outside activities. No outdoor chairs, tables, nothing on the small patios. It's a "strictly indoor" hotel. There was free WIFI internet access and a rather good breakfast buffet included. Once again, the breakfast room has nice big windows with direct access to a patio located right in front of the breakfast room - but no furniture in spite of the beautiful morning weather in Page. For that reason we would not stay here again a second time. The other hotels in the area have fully furnished balconies and we saw people sitting on them enjoying the sunset over Lake Powell. The next time we'll stay there.

Nothing really special. It was convenient and close to Lake Powell. We didn't run into any of the issues we read in other reviews. The room was huge and appeared clean. The front desk staff and house keeping were nice but not overly cordial.
The 'continental breakfast' is to be avoided...very weak. We took mugs with us and would fill them with coffee at the breakfast bar rather than make it in the room since room coffee is usually bad. Coffee was even a bit iffy. We ate at the Denny's instead.

Did not actually stay at this motel as I could not get by the rude people at the front desk and their snotty attitude.
