“High expectations, not made up for!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

Due to the reviews, we expected too much. It's just a cafe with some snacks. Tasted ok, but nothing special!

“Wonderful dinner surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Don't let the fact that this restaurant is in a strip mall fool you. It is a great place to eat and drink. They have an extensive wine menu but a small food menu, again don't be alarmed. Everything is wonderful. When we arrived, we were greeted by someone behind the bar. We soon realized that the greeter is also the owner, bartender, server, and chef. Based on his recommendations we started with the meat and cheese plate, a delicious combination of a salami, lavender expresso cheese, and cumin cheddar cheese. Next we had the calamari tacos. I was slightly concerned about ordering calamari in the middle of the desert, but the seafood was fresh and delicious. Finally we ended with the artichoke and bruschetta pizza. While we were waiting for our final dish, the owner came out and pulled a few leaves of orange basil from a plant on the wall. This became the garnish for our pizza. All of our dishes were fresh and flavorful. Eating here was a wonderful surprise, we really enjoyed ourselves.

“Surprise in Page”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

We were lucky today to have dinner at the wine bar. We were served several tapas that were excellent, the calamari-tapas should be mentioned explicitly. Also the meatballs were great. The finishing touch was the excellent chardonnay, suggested by the very friendly owner. We returned to our resort, satisfied in every sense... And we will return for breakfast tomorrow, I can assure you!

Thank you for your review. I enjoyed your company and am happy to hear that you had such a great time. You two may have witnessed our most beautiful sunset of the year so far, so I am glad that you chose to sit on the patio. Travel safely and I hope to see you both again.

“Wonderful bakery breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

Our family of 6 came here - guided by the TA reviews - one morning for breakfast while on our short visit to Page. We only had about 30 minutes to eat before going on an early tour of Antelope Canyon, so we knew that getting a big breakfast somewhere was out. We came in and immediately noticed how cute the place is - not what I expected in the area, it reminded me more of a trendy spot in Brooklyn. :) Tiny little place with just a few tables and chairs and some counter seating.
We saw the bakery counter with lots of yummy options like chocolate-filled, meat and cheese, and plain croissants, cinnamon toast monkey bread, cookies and some interesting egg-frittata-cup-shaped things - and it all looked wonderful but I wasn't sure it was what our whole group wanted. But everyone picked a treat, grownups ordered various types of coffees and kids got juice and hot cocoa. Well... the service was fantastic, and fast, and the next thing you know I just heard a lot of "MMMmmmmm" as everyone enjoyed the best coffee, pastries, etc., we had had in a long while. It was all delicious and a wonderful experience. If we stayed longer, we definitely would have gone back for more and tried it out for dinner, too.
