This is an older place that is now being run by a nice family that is trying hard to make it better...the room was clean..although the bathroom needs upgrading..it was all fresh paint and new carpet...the outside is still a little dingy, but don't let that deter you...

The bed was comfortable and the a/c drowned out the street noise...there is a Safeway across the street and you can walk to many restaurants...

This is a great place to stay when just passing through...a good value...

We arrived at the empire house in the late evening after visiting Monument valley. In the dark it was the kind of motel with coachroach in it, because it was an old motel, not really inviting from the outside. But the room was very big and clean also. Yes it was smelling indian food in the entire motel, but not that much in the room. The free breakfast in the morning was very simple, bread, cheap orange juice and cereals, but the safeway grocerie store across the street was the best place to fill up our fridge in the room that have also microwave and free wireless.

It was a great location to explore the lake powell and the north rim of grand canyon. The man at the front desk was very polite and so helpful, definetly go there again, good value for a great price!

It was a good experience right from the start. The front desk I made a reservation with was polite. The motel was nicely renovated. The rooms were big, although the linen seemed as though it hadn't been changed for sometime. The swimming pool was inviting. The best part was the morning buffet. I never had such a vast choice of items in a budget motel before. The manager greeted us in the morning and was very friendly. I will definitely stay there in the future, and I would recomment this to anyone who is looking for a good budget motel
with breakfast included.
