“Superb views and lovely facilities, but room could have been cleaner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

Set on the edge of Lake Powell with fantastic views this could be a top-notch hotel. It has everything going for it - locations, boat trips, good restaurant and spacious comfortable rooms. Sadly our room was not the cleanest and this is off-putting.

Smelly corridors, a smoky room that had to be changed, corridors with low ceilings and cheap stained ceiling tiles, dirty entrance doors. If it were not for the fact that this really is the only place to stay when visiting Lake Powell we would not have ventured much beyond the front entrance. Two stars at the best. However the location is fabulous and the views quite outstanding. This really is a must visit place notwithstanding the poor accomodation.

Drive across the bridge from Page proper to arrive at Lake Powell Resort. A little difficult to find, but stop at the tourist center across the bridge and you can get good directions. The road is good and there are about two turns, as I recall. The rooms are clean enough and the food and drinks are expensive. They, like others who account for the few lodges and hotels near any tourist area, know that they can charge what the market will bear. It's the way businesses operate. In the main dining room where reservations are required, expect to pay $100.00 for food and drinks for two. The food was fine - presentation was better! Order the trout!

Management is great! The front desk people are extremely courteous and helpful as are all the staff with which I made contact. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was very nice with a balcony, very clean. Check in and out were very quick. Booking desk for boat trips in lobby was very efficient. Didn't have dinner here but wasn't impressed with breakfast. Only wanted continental breakfast but the croissants were tiny and rock hard. Tried to make toast but there were 4 people waiting and the toaster took forever, gave up. Waiter was over enthusiastic and tried to clear our plates before we had finished eating. Views were beautiful.

First, when checking in, they required "federal ID"! The bedroom is large, but the bathroom requires update. The sink and bathtub are clogged, the bathtub is unstable, door lock is broken. The air condition is noisy. The breakfast is terrible, they forgot my order. Only thing good is view. One more thing, in order to access the hotel you need to pay $15 national park entrance fee!!

This place was a real surprise. We were on a bus tour and honestly didn't know a thing about lake Powell. What a wonderful surprise! Our room had a patio that faced the water which held fabulous sunsets and sunrises. It was a bit of a hike to the lobby where the restaurants were. Food was very good. Morning breakfast has omelette station that were some of the best omelets I ever had! Definitely take the boat ride. You will see sights that you didn't know were there! Great stay!

Room Tip: Take the boat ride. You will be glad you did.

Lovely place with beautiful views. Could do with a face lift and elevators. Stay on a main floor if you are elderly. Hot tub was around 85 degrees and the bar tender told me it was only a warm tub? Communication between the main booking number in Phoenix and the actual resort was not always the same.

Room Tip: Ground floors only if you have heavy luggage.
