“Lakeside view of Lake powell resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2012

Stayed for two nights here in May 2012 as we wanted to Kayak Lake Powell, Due to the Solar eclipse event, no hotel in Page was available so had to book the rather expensive Lake Powell reosrt.
Had a lakeside view room which was huge with two queen sized beds(very comfy) and a giant TV and a little balcony with a perfect view of the lake.
Checking in was easy and the staff were very polite, got to the room with no issues. It was spotlessly clean as you would expect and had a safe and a fridge and a small bathroom.
There is a starbucks in reception where the staff were excellent and served great coffee. We ate in the bar one night and were a little disappointed with the service. The waitress seemed rushed off her feet despite there being maybe only 15 people in the bar and kept forgetting our order and our wine choice as she didn't write it down. The food was very nice but the check was put down and we were asked if we wanted anything else as the kitchen was closing(2115) before we had even got halfway through the meal...it wasn't quite the relaxed meal we hoped for. We were then told that due to Indian Reservation law the bar would shut at 2200...which was frustrating as the Resort is a fair way out from Page and there is nowhere else but the resort where you could have a drink after your meal. It would have been nice to have extended our evening past 2200.
All in all it is a very nice resort but extremely pricey for what you get, beakfast was not included and although the drinks/dinner were average priced, I was a little disappointed that I couldn't have stayed somewhere cheaper for the same experience.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel, slightly out of town but right on the edge of the lake, which is stunning. We paid for a room with a view of the lake, and that is what we got. Nice clean spacious room, with big bathroom and a balcony. Wi-fi was available for guest in the reception area, but as our room was above the reception we were able to access it from the bedroom.
We dined in the restaurant ( make sure you book in advance), we had lovely food, and good service at a reasonable price. The pools looked nice but we didn't have time to use them.
A very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: No lifts in this hotel, so if you have a problem with stairs ask for a room on the ground floor.

I felt I paid for a luxury resort but got an old dirty motel. The room is small, dirty and old, there were spider web on the ceiling and light, dust on the coffee maker, shower sink was clogged. The refrigerator was missing the control knob and very noisy.

On our US-journey we also stayed in the Lake Powell Resort for 3 nights. It was our second stay in this hotel. We enjoyed our first visit so much, that we returned in May. The location is marvelous and the lake-view from our patio was again breathtaking.

But this time we were disappointed very much, because there were too many people for dinner and breakfast in the restaurants and we had to wait for our dinner on one evening for about 3 hours!!! Next evening we went into the smaller restaurant only for a burger or something else, but it was nearly the same chaos like the night before. Most of the waitresses were friendly and tried to help, but I think, there were too less employees in the kitchen.

One morning there were 220 people nearly the same time for breakfast, the waitress told us. We had to return later again.

You have no chance to go to another restaurant without driving to Page downtown. A further restaurant in the Resort was closed – so at our last stay!

Sorry, but we wouldn't return to this resort, though the location is wonderful and our room was spacy and clean, but the organization of this resort in the restaurant-areas is terrible!

Room Tip: There is no elevator for the second floor rooms!

We stayed here for 2 nights just recently. We were allocated the wrong room, and when shown to the correct room we found the toilet not working and the shower needing repair. There had also been a mistake with our dinner reservation.
I will admit that the manager wrote us a lovely card and tried very hard to make recompense, but we felt that too many mistakes had occurred for us to want to stay here again.
The rooms were a decent size and we enjoyed a lake view. The food in the restaurant was good when we eventually got it.

This resort is incredible. We stayed for 5 nights with a lakeside view. The grounds were kept very well, the room and balcony were good and there was many options for places to eat. Loved the option to rent a boat dock that saved us time and energy. 6 miles from Page where there is also many places to eat. Horseshoe bend is about 8 miles away and Antelope Canyon not far from Page. Both places are a must to see.

One thing to know about this hotel is that it is a stop for many bus tours, so there was a lot of traffic going thru daily. Did not bother us. Pet friendly too!

Room Tip: Lake view is a must! Otherwise you are looking out at the parking lot with big buses.

The views from this hotel are the best in Page - all lake facing rooms have a great view as does the restaurant. (Other rooms face the car park). The room was good - comfortable and spacious enough. We sat out and admired the view from our patio. My husband enjoyed the pool here and said it was a very pleasant area to sit in too. The restaurant was a little busy at times but was served tasty food (smaller portions than in other places).

The gift shop is extensive but also sells important items like sunscreen and plasters (band aids)!

The flaming torches which lit up the resort in the evening were a nice touch. The sunsets here were great.

The only complaint was that when we turned up at 10pm on the first night, there was nowhere to get food in the hotel, not even a vending machine, and it's a 5 mile drive back into Page.

Room Tip: Pay for a lake view room if you can afford it, it's worth it. The lakeside rooms on the north o...
