This was a wonderful experience. My wife and I stayed at the B&B for four nights.This is an extreemly clean and neat B&B in the heart of Gustavus. The rooms are large and comfortable. The B&B is within walking and bike riding distace of the town(?), local store,and the pier.The inn-keepers are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the entire area. They are willing to help with trip bookings and give advice on things to see and do. We will go back and miss the experience already.

This was one of our best expereinces in Alaska! The innkeepers are really knowledgebale and helpful. They provided all the gear we needed for every adventure (parkas for the boat, rubber boots for hiking, etc). The breakfasts were amazing! The accomodations were really delightful. We had couples in the lodge rooms and a family with 2 young adults in the cabin. Eveyone had plenty of room. Even though the weather was rainy, as it tends to be in southeast AK, we thoroughly enjoyed all our experiences- kayaking, hiking, boat tour of glaciers, golf, gallery hopping, great dinners. We spent 3 days in Gustavus and the park and really loved it. The inn is absolutely fabulous and Debbie's recommendations were evtremely hepful and accurate.

My wife and I stayed at the Blue Heron for three nights last summer. Deborah and Charlie are great hosts who have alot of information about Alaska in general. They make it a point to see that your stay is comfortable in every way. Be prepared that Gustavus is a verrrry laid back place to come and relax at. We called earlier in the year and were convinced to spend an extra day in Gustavus...we're glad we took the advice, if not for anything else, the relaxation value of Gustavus. Deborah and Charlie also served as resourceful local travel agents and insured that all of our needs were cared for from taxi service (quite expensive unfortunately), dinner reservations, to day trips out to Glacier Bay. In fact, the morning we took the day long Glacier Bay Boat tour, they made one of their first class gourmet breakfasts (as they did all three mornings) and it was waiting for us at 6:30AM. In fact, they even supplied my wife and I with warm parkas to wear on the boat ride as we were underdressed. A great way to spend the day is to take one of the cruiser bikes supplied by the Inn from location to location. Our room was clean and comfortable--not necessarily exquisite--but more than adequate, especially for the fair price being charged. No complaints from us and we would have no qualms about returning again some day. Enjoy!!!

My stay at the Blue Heron was a wonderful experience. Charlie picked my wife and myself up from the airport and gave us a nice tour of Gustavus, one the most unspoiled places I've ever visited. He arranged the cruise ship through glacier bay and our flight to Gustavus on Fjord air(thanks Chuck).
Charlie provided us with comfort bikes and we cruised through Gustavus for several hours. We were delighted to find a grand breakfast waiting for us in the morning and I cannot say enough about his hospitality. Our accomodations were fantastic and everything about our room was perfect, including a super view.
If you are heading to Gustavus I would highly recommend calling the Blue heron first.
