Located at Barlett Cove, the lodge sits a short distance from the bay, surrounded by the forrest. The location is convenient, because it is often the starting point for several cruises into the Glacier Bay National Park. The room was simple and clean, but lacking a blow dryer (though the nice lady at the front desk went back into her room and lent me hers--didn't want to go onto a boat with wet hair at 7:30 in the morning). Dining was expensive, selection few, but each dish was very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A great place to enjoy the tranquility of nature.
