I love this place. the power went out for a few hours one night during a snow storm. We went to the woodpile, picked up some wood and started a big fire in the fireplace(i've heard they are switching to gas fireplaces) and played cards by candlelight. The manager came around and made sure everyone had a fire and candles. The clubhouse was on a generator and a few people congregated there to read books and play pool.
The staff are wonderful. The place is always very clean. The unit does have a "rustic" feel. But the place is CLEAN.
These cabins are across the river from Glacier National Park. About 15-20 mins to the entrance of the park. Make sure to stop by a store in Kalispell before driving out to the unit. You will not want to leave and go back into town once you get settled in.
The area is known for some of the best hiking/backpacking in the world. Take a few trips up to Glacier or one of the surrounding National Forests.
It was nice to turn off the phone (internet, email, texts, tweets) for a week and unwind.
Don't pass this place up! I think you'll enjoy the area anytime of the year. I've been here in Jan, July and October and i've always had a blast.
