We just returned from a wonderful trip to Glacier National Park. Our family stayed in Cabin #22, which is literally steps away from Lake McDonald Creek - which joins to Lake McDonald - which is very nearby. It was a very comfortable cabin with a bedroom with 2 queen beds, closet with hangers provided, a chair and a luggage stand too. The kitchen was wonderful and we cooked most of our meals in the cabin and enjoyed eating outdoors at the picnic table just out the front door, and also inside at the table in the kitchen area. The views!!! Ahhhhh the views...I think that was one of our families' most favourite parts! The big picture window (which seemed brand new and spotlessly clean -- didn't even seem like there was a window at all!) looked out onto the creek...truly stunning and spectacular! The kids loved playing by the creek and had fun exploring the area too. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had pots and a frying pan and plates and bowls for our family of four, mixing bowls as well as cutlery and serving utensils, canopener, sharp knives...it was just great! The cabin was absolutely immaculate when we arrived...exceptionally clean...(cleaner than many nicer hotels we've stayed in!!!) This is an important factor for me! Don't forget to leave a tip, in the little "housekeeping envelope" they leave on the table, for the gals who do all the cleaning. They do a superb job and you can tell they take price in their work! The bathroom, although it was small, worked fine for us...the shower stall was clean and a one piece insert style...no dirty grout tiles, etc. The cabin is within walking distance to gift shops, restaurant, coffee/icecream/snack kiosk, boat rentals, tourist info., etc. You won't be disappointed in the cabins at Apgar Village Lodge.
- Cabin #22, 12, 11, 10, 8, 7 and 6 all have a few of the creek which connects to Lake McDonald...
