Love this hotel - not the least because Candice at the front desk and Don in the concierge lounge always remember me and truly enjoy their work and helping their clients. Rooms are excellent and location is handy to Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Arrived at this hotel New York time 7.00pm with four very tired little children....we had a slight problem checking in as being a party of 9 the desk clerk couldn't find confirmation for one of the rooms....anyway after 10 minutes or so this was rectified. The staff behind the desk were extremely helpful and friendly and we eventually made our way to bed pretty well exhausted. The rooms are adequate and spotlessly clean. Next morning we had a fabulous breakfast with so much choice and very attentive staff. The location is so close to Brooklyn Bridge and we walked over the bridge taking in the Statue of Liberty in the distance and all the other wonderful sights before joining our ship to New England and Canada. An excellent hotel if you are taking a cruise being only roughly a ten minute taxi ride to the Cruise Terminal.

I've come to think that this is really the only first-class hotel in Brooklyn. I stayed here pretty regularly many years ago when it was new and its rates were still fairly reasonable. Once they discovered that they had a niche, their rates shot up, they added a second tower, and I started staying elsewhere. Having tried the two Holiday Inn Expresses in Park Slope, the Hotel Le Bleu, and the newer trio of hotels nearby (Aloft, Sheraton, Hotel Indigo), it was nice to come back here when I snagged a rate below $300. It's a no-hassle place with a professional staff working hard to make sure all goes well. It's clean and secure in a better neighborhood than other options mentioned above. Parking is enclosed and attached to the hotel (both in-out self-parking and valet are available for $25/night). There are additional restaurant options (Shake Shack, Potbelly) nearby, with more opening up soon. My room this trip was on a corner in the south tower overlooking the courthouse/downtown area... lots of light and 3 windows with views (nice!). I'll look to stay here again if they can keep their rates under that $300 mark.

This is our go to hotel for NYC, Marriott service is excellent, with rooms divided into two towers to keeping the conventioneers and visitors separated. The hotel has covered parking, biking/walking distance to the city via the Brooklyn Bridge, or take either of two subway stops a block away (Court Street/Borough Hall). The Brooklyn location also means access to quiet neighborhood restaurants, tree lined streets, a lot of upgrades to the Promenade, East River Ferry to midtown, and calmer people. Still NYC intense and noisy, with heavy bridge traffic at rush hour, but blended with moms and dads, day care, school kids on parade, grandparents, and local favorites.

Room Tip: Ask for the North tower if available and get the highest floor you can to avoid the noise. Concierge...

We stayed here for a girls weekend, running the Brooklyn Rock and Roll 10K. The service from help with checking in, valet parking, getting a taxi - you name it.. they were there always pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great hotel for a weekend stay.

The hotel property is first class and service is excellent. The staff will go out of their way to meet your needs. The front desk is excellent. Don't eat in the hotel restaurant. The menu is terrible and old fashion. The chef must think the food can be enhanced with over use of butter because it is on everything. From the outside of a hamburger bun to a meat topping. The food is over priced for what you get even in NY. Don't eat in the restaurant. My hamburger had an onion top in it, when I said for a $22 burger this was nor acceptable I was told it is pre packaged, comes that way, nothing they could do about it.

Room Tip: They have a North tower while dated has huge rooms and bathrooms. I don't have to eat where I s...

This is a very nice hotel, quite close to the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge and downtown Brooklyn. Everyone there was very friendly and the rooms a comfortable. There is a lot to do nearby, and there are a lot of wonderful dining options (low to high price ranges) to suit everyone's needs. There is an employee at the concierge desk who can give you maps, advice on where to visit/eat and directions - this was a fantastic service, and she was very helpful.
