Stayed at this hotel in late July 2006. We were visiting friends who live in Brooklyn and found the Comfort Inn suitable for our needs. Good location in a residential area near the freeway, overlooking sheepshead bay and in a good location for local shops and restaurants. The area felt very safe, (but stay away from the motel at the rear which is seems to be of the one hour stay variety).
A bonus is free on site parking and the usual Comfort Inn complementary breakfast (coffee, fruit, muffins, waffles etc).
In summery;
Quiet location, Clean, free parking, free Wifi, free breakfast, nice staff especially Joey on the night desk...and thank you to the manager for letting me use his computer printer!

We just returned from a 7 day trip to NY Being a fellow New Yorker I wanted to see sites I hadn't seen in many years, I also wanted my husband to see the things I'd seen as a child as it was his first visit to the Big Apple.

Before choosing a place to stay I researched extensively for a place to stay in Brooklyn. Our decision was solely based on the reviews from other Trip Advisor travelers.

Our trip to the Comfort Inn was exhausting, we arrived at 4am hungry and frazzled. Upon checking in a lovely gentleman appeared with towels in his hands asking if he could help us. My first question to him was..Is this a safe place to stay lol..I expected him to say of course not, don't you know you are in Brooklyn NY? Instead he replied "I have not had any trouble or heard of any trouble in the neighborhood for the past two years". I instantly felt myself relaxing. He also gave us good advice about traveling to any place. Just use good common sense. Don't look like tourists, don't go down dark alleys and act like you own the street your on.

To sum our stay up at this Comfort Inn is to say we will return on our next visit. Parking was limited but free of charge. The lobby and rooms were very clean. I asked for the highest floor while making reservations and was happily surprised with not only the highest floor but a room with a view of Sheepshead Bay.

If you are looking for comfort, not luxury this is the place to stay. Needing improvement is the pillows they were small and not very comfortable. Cleanliness was very good. Getting extra towels was no problem. We had great service, free breakfast and all the coffee / tea needed to get our busy day started.

We also were surrounded by many good restaurants within walking distance for some and bus ride or taxi for others.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Brooklyn Feb 18th thru the 21st of Febuary 2006 and we have not seen a better well kept comfort inn anywhere else, the staff was friendly and we really felt at home staying there,this was our first trip to Brooklyn and wasn't sure where to stay but we made the right choice in chosing the comfort inn

Traveled with daughter to NY for her 12th b-day. Haven't been back in 18 years so I was leary, but the Comfort Inn was truly a comfort. Room was very comfortable and clean, but the walls were a bit thin. Breakfast could only have been better if the bagels were NOT from a package!
