“Big on old school vibe, small on flavour”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

If you head out to Sheepshead Bay, a trip to Randazzo's is obligatory. We loved the old school style - great service and great people watching!

Marinara sauce was excellent but the rest of the food was heavy. Of course, we ordered a lot of fried food but heavier than your average fried food. My partner had calamari which he found very fresh but not particularly flavourful. He had baked clams and he found the topping very bready. I had fried fish sandwich which was quite yummy but I didn't feel like eating til the next day!!!

Mixed review - if you're good with fried food and want a great old school vibe, check this place out!! If your system can't take all that rich food maybe stop by from a drink and some people watching!

“What a treat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

I just had my first experience at Randazzo's at Sheepshead Bay and what a treat it was. From the moment we walked in until we left an hour or so later we were both entertained and well fed. We began with the fried calamari and shrimp with red sauce and ended with spicy clam corn chowder, Manhattan clam chowder with pasta ant hot red sauce. There was nothing fancy or pretentious about the establishment or but, but then after 75 years in business it doesn't need to be. It was a great way to end the perfect weekend in the NJ/NY area with family!

“Calamari King”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

Several years ago I stopped eating fried calamari anywhere but at Randazzo's. Light dusting of their flour blend quickly fried ... supple and tasty, with sauce on the side that is out of this world. Went there last Thurs, heading back to LA tomorrow. First on my list when back in NYC.

“Best Clam Bar Peroid”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

Been eating here for as long as I can recall. Best, Top Necks, Steamers & memorable Calamari (with hot sauce). Most importantly, the NE (white)Clam Chowder that I others should be judged against.

Have eaten all over the country and often say, "decent, but it's not Randazzo's" , when comparing NE Clam Chowder.

“A classic Brooklyn Italian Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

No pretensions. Randazzo's clams, red sauce, pasta, never change, consistent, and wonderful place to feel the history of what Brooklyn was like for many years.
