“A real treat - this is a real French bistro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2011

I've spent a lot of time in France over the years, and have always wondered why small family run bistros, common all over France, can't thrive in US cities. This is the real deal. The prix fix menu for $25 is excellent. Three of use ate selections from it. The offer several mussel dishes, duck pate, creme brulee. What's not to love. Good wine list with some interesting wines (a red Sancerre and a Saint Chinian I'd never seen before).

I'll be back soon.

“Out of the Way, but Well Worth It”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2011

This small restaurant has a wonderful backyard area in which couples and groups of friends may enjoy an intimate, easy-going dinner. I can see the wait to be served being long; however, as I, nor my husband were in any type of rush, we did not mind at all.

The food is delicious and relatively inexpensive, which makes this place more than worth its money. The staff is really nice. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but if you make the .5 mile trek from downtown Brooklyn to Bacchus, you'll be very glad you did.

“Great Bistro in Brooklyn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2010

Lovely little French bistro in Brooklyn. Food is very good. Wine list excellent (mostly French). Seems to have a great outdoor area in back which would be nice in good weather.

“Good food at a good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2009

Good but not great food in a nice setting and at a reasonable price. If you are in Brooklyn you could do a lot worse that to dine at Bacchus.
