“Incredible Culinary Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2012

I recently dined at Saul with three friends. We decided to go with the tasting menu and added an additional course (asparagus) because it sounded too good to miss! We also chose to order the wine pairings with the tasting menu. What an incredible meal! Each course built upon the previous course and the wine pairings were spot on. The chef used in-season fresh ingredients that popped with flavor. The service was attentive but not intrusive. If you order the tasting menu, prepare for a three hour experience- yes, it is expensive. Yes, it is worth it!

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2012

I went to Saul last night to celebrate Mother's Day with my family. This restaurant has a good reputation and I was looking forward to an excellent meal and service. Although the food was good I felt that the appetizer did not live up to it's $17.00 price tag. The main course, cod prepared with a dill sauce sitting in beets and leeks. It was good but I felt it was overwhelmed by the beets in overall flavor. The restaurant ran out of bread and never came over to apologize or mention it until we asked for it. The service was slow, not what I expect for an upscale restaurant. They
should have been prepared for Mother's Day which comes around every year and they have been around for many years.

“A superb find.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2012 via mobile

After the hustle and bustle of NYC, Saul restaurant was an Oasis!

Although not cheap, the food, surroundings and service were exactly what was required for a highly relaxing and enjoyable evening.

Thank you and hope to be back soon!

“Never disappointed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2012

I have eaten at Saul for over a decade and have never had a single mediocre dish. Some are amazing, some are excellent, but all are really good.

“THE BROOKLYN PLACE FOR FINE DINING”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2012 via mobile

Superb, well though through fresh choices in fine dining. Takes reservations - an unknown commodity in trendy Brooklyn and even credit cards! Saul has been the top destination for years and is Zagat rated. It's not IN just now so exploit the moment and enjoy. Always a vegetarian choice even if not on the menu and when is the last time you had a Baked Alaska to die for? Every menu is a bit different depending on what's fresh in the markets and I have not had a bad meal in years of visits. Quieter than the trendy places so you can actually talk while you enjoy your meal and even relax since no one is staring at you wanting your table! love this place and would rate it at the tops in New York.
