“Nice food, nice outdoor garden”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

The place has a lot of ambiance. You get to sit in a secluded outdoor garden having pretty tasty Mexican food with some nice albeit expensive drinks.
We came for drinks and appetizers and left satisfied. The wait was not too long. The wait staff was very attentive and the music outside not too loud, so having a nice conversation was easy. I would definitely recommend the place.

“Very legit mex in cool hood”

Great margaritas, authentic fresh mexican fare, friendly/professional vibe...and don't miss the homemade wall paper (made locally!).

“Authentic Food- Cool Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

Have been here twice- once just for drinks and then for Saturday brunch. Small brunch items are fresh, authentic, and spicy. Atmosphere is funky with day of the dead wallpaper and the theme even carrying over to the bathrooms. Black, red and white decor looks nice and the small cafe feel is homey. Service is fast and friendly and prices are reasonable.

“It's gone downhill since I first started going there”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

I moved to Dumbo last August and my wife heard about this place. We tried it out and was great the first time. Tacos were good, menu always changes, drinks were pretty interesting (albeit expensive). Other dishes include brisket, and other mexican staples. We even took the in laws there but slowly noticed after 3-4 times that food was just going downhill.

Atmosphere is GREAT and cozy. It's right next to Grimaldi's if all else fails. The last time we went back two weeks ago, there were some hairs in the tacos and the fish in the tacos tasted like soap. We split three orders of tacos and had two drinks and the bill was close to $75. It's fun and all to go out to dinner, but this left much to be desired and I probably will hesitate to go back again anytime soon. Try Al Mar, Grimaldi's, Noodle Pudding.. all nearby.

“Excellent Mexican in hipster Brooklyn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013 via mobile

Want the freshest Mexican food - great empada, burrito, Tortilla.. All appropriately spiced and flavoured with tangy corriander, chilli and lime? Head to hipster DUMBO in Brooklyn and right under the Brooklyn bridge is the cute eaterie - complete with day of the dead wall paper.. It's relaxed, fun and quite reasonable!
