“great local bar & food joint”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

In what is a bit of a food desert, this place was a great introduction to the new side of Brooklyn. Interesting beers, good food - if a bit deep fried everything - mind you, when that includes fabulous spicy chicken, I wasn't complaining.

“Great Fried Chicken”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

This place is about the friend chicken. Also some of the salads are really good. Cocktails are good and usually strong. Service is not great or even good most nights. The servers are clearly not professional wait staff but students, actors, NYC newcomers, in other words they are all looking to move on to what they really want to do. The place is very small and basically decorated. Some times the place could be a bit cleaner in terms of sweeping up debris and washing tables better. Yet we keep coming back for the crispy well seasoned fried chicken.Price is fair. Portions are good. Neighborhood is questionable for walking at night, we come only by car.

“Trendy and relaxed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

The signs of gentrification are apparent in Bed-Stuy and this is one: nice local restaurant serving breakfasts, brunch (at weekends), lunch and dinner. We had the all- day breakfast which was serviceable without being overwhelming. Service was good and friendly. Worth a visit.

“Southern style in Brooklyn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

So much to choose and everything looks great. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Even the customers are friendly and may likely strike up a conversation with you. It's just that type of atmosphere.
Really good wine choice, fun cocktails, great appetizers and soups. Yummy desserts. This place has it all!

“great atmosphere, great food !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

the title says it all. But when staying in Brooklyn, this is the place to enjoy your chicken or shrimps. Bit Southern style, so spicey if you want it. Nice mix of patrons both local and visitors. Good music in the background, best ice-tea we had in NY and friendly staff.
