First: This is now an IHG Holiday Inn run establishment. I'm not sure who... or what ran the previous hotel... but it has been recently refurbished.
Second: this hotel is ON an ACTIVE military base. If you are a civilian, looking for accomidations... this probably won't work for you. You need to go through a complete 100% security check, at the main gate... so make SURE you research your research your security clearences, documentation, and references before choosing this hotel!
I am a civilian contractor, who was working on base, and had the opportuntity to stay at this hotel for several days. The hotel caters to military personell, and their families. It is also rather small (not a lot of rooms). II could only imagine that this place fills right up, fast, during any reserve weekend... or any other major military event.
Anyways... the hotel is in on older "Federal" brick style building. BUT... it has been recently renovated, and spotlessly clean. The rooms are an average size... and again... newly renovated, and clean!
Being a civilian... I was kinda "trapped" on base afterhours. Your food options are a bit limited (Burger King, Subway... with limited hours)... unless you go off base, or get delivery. Military families might have more options...?
The morning breakfast is a good, continental, american breakfast. Nothing special... but always fully stocked. I wasn't sure if this was due to the fact that the hotel was mildy booked... or because I was down there "late"... at 7:30AM
It is a great hotel. A clean hotel. And I'd gladly stay there again!
