“Fun, clean and great views of Manhattan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

Strolled along here on a Sunday morning enjoying the sunshine and the views of Manhattan. Looks like a great place to have a picnic lunch - maybe the next time we are in Brooklyn.

“Great views over to Manhattan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

We stumbled upon the park area when we were trying to find Brooklyn Heights! This was by far the best views we found of downtown Manhattan and the Brooklyn bridge too. The south end of the park seems to be going under some renovation, but it was ok to walk around still. I don't think we spent much more than an hour there, and it was fairly easy to get to on the subway

“The best of NY in the developing Brooklyn waterfront”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Back in the day, the only Brooklyn East River waterfront to be found was the Promendade but let the wealthy move in and the beautiful waterfront parks get built, expanded and the masses (me) get to enjoy their front yards. This park is a wonderful place to see the city, the Lower Bay, bridges and the remmants of the commercial waterfront architecture. Like Central Park, even if it's crowded you get the calm vibe. Parking is ok in the spring but difficult in the summer. Instead park in the East River Ferry lot in LIC and take the East River Ferry (while the subsidy continues) to avoid the problem. Unless you can live on ice cream with the long line for this single food vendor, there is very limited/almost non-existent food to be found, so bring a picnic from Dumbo or Williamnsburg or from home. However, there are food festivals scheduled during the spring and summer so you may bump into one of these here or along one of the Brooklyn stops on the East River Ferry.

“Great View”

Nice place to come and eat your lunch and people watch. Great view of the skyline. NOT a place to get married at.
