New York City is Great but Carroll Gardens is the Jewel of The City. Plenty of interesting things to do and see and the people are fantastic too. Every kind of Food imaginable is available here. Restaurants, Bakeries, Home Made Italian Sausage at Esposito's on Court Street and Ethic Places Incredible BEST Eating in New York City !!!
Our special stops are Mazzolla's Bakery and Francesco's Restaurant . Both located on Henry and Union Streets and Family owned by the same family !!! Mazzolla's Italian Bakery is a neighborhood institution which has made New York's Best Italian Bread for Generations and Francesco's is a great neighborhood restaurant with great Italian food at great prices too !!!
Just walking through the neighborhood is great. Cute Parks and Shops all over the place.
This is the place to make a few stops and take your Manhattan friends to as well to turn them onto things they may not even know about their own City !!
Court Street Pastry is Fabulous for it's Italian Pastries and Louie of Sam's Restaurant makes a mean Pizza and Great Baked Clams too. For a peaceful delicious morning cup of coffee and an Oven Fresh Italian Roll Mazzolla's cannot be beat. This is a nice treelined corner flanked by Historic Brownstone buildings to simply hang and people watch in the mornings while you enjoy your coffee or Lunch or Dinner right across the street at Francesco's is Special too and affordable as well with a Great selection !!
We make many, many trips to New York each year but still not as many as we would like but as many or as few as we make each year we never , never ever miss Carroll Gardens We LOVE it there . . . . . . wish we could live there !!

Carroll Gardens has charm. Many of the homes have extra large front yards (those in the Historic District can stretch 30-40 yards) and Carroll Park was recently renovated and is a great place to relax, play with your kids and get in a game of basketball.

As you walk down Clinton Street, towards the Brooklyn Bridge, you feel as if you're traveling back in time in Carroll Gardens. Each building whether on Clinton Street, or its sidestreets, has a story to tell.
Owners are constantly working on maintaining them, making sure they preserve their uniqueness. Although Carroll Gardens is a beautiful place to visit to see its old buildings and churches, some of which have been converted to condominiums, there is also the night life.

The Smith Street Strip, amongst others such as Court Street is home to a mixed variety of restaurants, bars and specialty stores. Each restaurant and bar are just as unique as the old residential buildings in Carroll Gardens. Block after block you can't help but to peer into each and every single estalishment, and wonder "I wonder what the food is like", or "I love the lighting in that bar". You can visit as many times as you like, and each time, there will be something different to look at and something different to feel.
