“You can feel Christmas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

I took a tour for visiting here. It'S really recommended to take a tour because it's kind of difficult to find where is the best street in dyker heights. and more, where to park car.
I was there at 23th of Dec. and it was really cwowded that you can't park!

Really recommended to visit here on Dec. You can feel really Christmas!

“A MUST See - but be nice.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

People go to Dyker Heights for one reason - to see all the houses decorated for Christmas. Most every house on most every block does a fantastic job decorating for the neighborhood and for visiting tourists. The kids will love it. Husbands & Wives or b/f's & g/f's will enjoy a stroll holding hands. BUT...

It's a traffic nightmare. Find a spot a couple of blocks away and walk. If you drive down these blocks, don't expect to see more that 1 house every 30 minutes. People stop their cars, get out, take pictures, stand around - - - ALL while you're trying to get your view.
Also, please don't block driveways and please don't throw trash in the street. And NEVER walk onto someones' property without being invited.
These are "People's Homes" They live there with their families; mothers & children and grandparents.
This is NOT a Theme Park - this is not the Osbourn Family Lights at Disney.
Every year people come to visit and get over excited - they make a mess and act as if there's a park ranger to clean-up after them. PLUS, you have people who think they're allowed to walk up onto someone's stoop. Please be respectful and stay on the sidewalk.

“A must see at Christmas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

I read about the fabulous Dyker Heights Christmas lights so I expected something more than the usual, but I didn't expect them to be the best I've ever seen. Some people hire outside companies to do their lights--the price tag must be in the high thousands. Definitely worth a look, but be prepared for crowds--it is not a secret.

“Christmas Lights”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

If you think the Griswolds had lights, you've seen nothing. Block after block in this classic Brooklyn neighborhood are lit with some of the most extravagant- and creative- displays seen anywhere. One big Victorian has a full animatronic display of much larger than life figures. There are houses with displays that must run to the tens of thousands of dollars. It's a fun trip.

“Dyker Heights Country Club”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012

Very attractive public course with scenic holes with large trees boarding the fairways. Green fees fairly reasonable. Course well maintained, greens in good condition, especially for a public course. Played with my son who paid for my green fees as a birthday gift - first time ever! The score mattered little when your son wants to play golf with you.
