We visit NYC at least once per year, to visit family. After staying at CGH twice now, and at their other property the year before, there is no way I would stay anywhere else when visiting. We usually bring our two young children, and this neighborhood is perfect for kids. The playground is right there, and plenty of wonderful, family-friendly eats are nearby. You MUST check out Lucali's for pizza. Get there early if you have kids, because they don't take reservations. The subway is located just two blocks away, and you can take the G train cross-town throughout Brooklyn or the F train into Manhattan (only a few stops away). This area is perfect for couples too, because it's super hip with tons of drinking and dining options. There is an awesome wine store called Scotto's if you want to BYOB to some of the restaurants or to enjoy at home. Plus, all the food delivery options...it's pretty easy to get just about anything delivered to CGH if you've done enough walking for the day and wish to stay in. Finally, there is a laundry service 1 block away so you can pack light, and take everything over there for wash-n-fold. Thanks Joe and Jamie for offering us a reliable, clean, convenient, and absolutely adorable brownstone flat as an option when we visit NYC. Hotels no more for this family!
