The hotel is relatively new. Rooms are not large but are clean, fully equipped, and everything works; refrig and microwave included. Breakfast is good and the internet works well--both complimentary. It is two or so blocks from an express subway stop. However, the area the hotel is in is rundown and downright scary (especially at night). One would not expect to find this nice hotel in this location. The Long Island train is directly in front and overhead the hotel. We stayed in the back corner of the hotel and was not disturbed by the rumble of the train; I don't know how it was for guests on the front side of the hotel. The hotel has a limited number of free parking spaces on the back side of the hotel which we used. The parking area is well lite and clean. Staff is very nice and helpful. People staying in the hotel during our stay appeared to be professional types, families, couples, singles. The hotel was chosen for both the proximity to our daughter's home in Brooklyn and the reasonable price for the area. We would definitely stay again.
