This hotel is ok, but for the price, I would expect better. I've also stayed in the Sheraton next door, and would highly recommend that one if you can get a comparable rate. My major complaint about aloft is that they don't have central heat/air conditioning. At this price, I had not even considered that this may be the case. The unit in the room did not work well - after 3 days of having it on the maximum setting with the window shades closed, it had only cooled 2 degrees (to 73). I have had window units that have worked much, much better than this unit. Other complaints are less of a big deal. The lobby is decorated in what I would describe as '18-year old girl dorm room chic." Desk staff seem confused, the girl who checked me in told me that I was prepaid completely, and then I found out on the last day that I still owed $90. They also ration the 'complementary' bottled water - you start with 2 bottles and then they cut you to one for all the remaining days of your stay. Housekeeping was spotty - we got (visible) crumbs on the floor the first night and they remained there for the rest of the stay. All these things I would be fine with, if the hotel was a real bargain but, at lest in July, it is not.
