“Great place for a private party!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2012

Our daughter decided to get married in New York. We live in California. The groom's family lives in Colorado and Maine. We depended upon the couple to do a lot of footwork for us in planning the wedding. They chose Miranda as the location for our rehersal luncheon. It's a relatively small restaurant, so our party took over the whole place (after the normal lunch hours). Food was excellent and the service was amazing. We had eaten there a few months ago during their normal hours - both times we were impressed. We highly recommend this restaurant.

“Italian/Latin Food--A Wonderful Combination”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

I went to Miranda because it was Dine in Brooklyn Restaurant week. Of course I hated the prix fixe menu because I am a picky eater when it comes to certain sauce ingredients. However. I ate a very delicious meal that was not very exspensive considering the kind of quality restaurant that Miranda is. My husband and I shared the rancini--rice balls, a good if boring spinach salad and two excellent pasta dishes from the regular menu. We shared a ziti like dish with homemade pasta, saussage, motzarella, and peas. The other dish was a pappardelle with lamb ragu in a mole sauce. Both dishes were about $19.00. The pastas are homemade and the flavors are very different. For dessert we shared two light as air canoli. This restaurant is pretty and it feels like you are eating in Europe. Also a 30% discount is available most evenings if you book using Savored. I think this restaurant is perfect for people who want to eat food that is exciting and different. This restaurant deserves to be a winner.

“Needs HVAC controls”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2012

My son lives near this establishment and had a prior good experience. Our food was ok but the room was so warm it was hard to enjoy the meal. The only relief was when the front door opened and fresh cool air rushed in. My clams and sweet potato gnochi was delicious and my son enjoyed a beef and pasta dish. For the appetizer we had chirozo surrounded by a thick tomato sauce and the bread served with the meal is fresh and varied. The servers are experienced and good at their work but management is unable to control the temperature.

“Great brunch”

Unique menu...more Latin than Italian. Great bread basket with empanadas and scones. Friendly and gracious service.
