I was planning on visiting the Prospect Park Zoo across the street and stopped at the booth to ask for directions. Looking in I thought I would give it a quick visit. Two hours later I finally got across the street to visit the zoo.
I wish I had more time to walk around the enjoy the gardens. It is a definitely must visit. It is very easy to get to from Manhattan. The Prospect Park subway stop is on the opposite corner. They have a cafetera which was busy when I walked by. It was fun to see people on the lawn painting landscapes of the garden.
I can imagine visiting this place year round as the plants change with the seasons to give it a different feel. The day I visited, their were a lot school kids and visitors from all over the places.
