Best to avoid. The decor might intrigue tourists for a first time visit and the shuffle board might bring in regulars, the rest can be forgotten if you're lucky. The Pump House regularly employs servers who don't understand customer service. This is especially true if you get seated in the bar. The servers don't know the menu, leave frozen blended drinks to melt on the on the server station at the bar, go missing for half hour stints and can literally take hours to get drinks, food, and the checks out to customers. While Fairbanks is known for particularly bad customer service here at the end of the road, The Pump House lowers these standards to new levels. And to find out recently a colleague had to go to the hospital with food poisoning after eating the oysters. I wouldn't chance it. It's a shame because their outdoor deck during a sunny summer day can be spectacular but until the ownership figures out staffing, forget it.
