We stumbled upon this restaurant by mistake and were so happy that we did. The restaurant is situated along the banks of the Chena River so the atmosphere is very nice. It is located in a community of small homes with a campground nearby.
The food was excellent and while pricey, it was a good value for an Alaskan meal. Our family enjoyed both varied seafood selections and chicken entrees. All were very good. The staff and friendly and virtually no wait time to be seated.
Definitely walk along the river after dinner - even a walk through the campground was fun. We actually encountered a group of traveling students from our home state of Michigan. They had been on the road for five weeks and ready to head back to Michigan for a total of eight weeks out. As were were tucked in our beds at our cabin at Pike's Waterfront Lodge, a huge rainstorm came along. All I could think about were those poor kids in the tents.
