“Outdated but clean. Only a quick night recommended.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

This was our first stay out first time in Alaska. We stayed for two nights which was too long. I was really disappointed if this was what Alaska had to offer. Pricey for the quality. First impression looked like an old persons home and it smelled old too. They offered a lot of complimentary items which was nice, but Breakfast was expensive and in the basement so we passed. Good location though however we Will probably not visit Fairbanks again.

This is an old hotel, architecturally, but impeccably maintained and updated. The staff was friendly. Everything worked. No hassle with free parking next to the hotel (put this slip on your dash). The room was quiet and comfortable despite the outdoor public concert going on nearby.

Most of the Alaska hotels cost twice as much, since they are only open less than half the year. This was an unexpected bargain.

We did not take advantage of the add-on breakfast buffet, since we were still full from our dinner the night before at the Fairbanks Pump House

Excellent place to stay. Right on the banks of Chena River in downtown Fairbanks. Very clean throughout and mattress was wonderful, Staff was very friendly in helping finding locations in and around Fairbanks. Food was good in the buffet and the price was right.

Room Tip: Ask for the River view

We booked this for our first night in AK, as we arrived at midnight and needed an easy place to bed down. The hotel was clean, service was good, beds were serviceable and yes, the shades kept the room mostly dark.

There seemed to be enough parking, which was nice.

We opted to go to the coffee house down the street (maybe three blocks?) rather than eat in. It was an easy walk, and starting from the hotel was you could easily see much of downtown Fairbanks on foot.

Overall we liked this hotel, and would stay there again.

No frills hotel in good location. Bed firm and bathroom clean and the price was right. Disappointed with breakfast though. The continental option's oatmeal was lukewarm but the walnut and dried cranberry toppings helped. Weak coffee.

We booked early to get rooms in the Bridgewater Hotel...their website was right on target with pictures, prices, etc. We were there on June 12-13-14-15 and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the staff as well as their guidance with suggested restaurants, activities, and sights NOT to miss.

The room was spacious and, since it was in the 90's, air conditioned! Since we were there during the summer with 23 1/2 hours of sun, we appreciated the room darkening shades a great deal. The bathroom was large and the towels were fluffy and nice; shower was super. The breakfast, though not included as we originally thought, was priced just right. There was a full buffet or cold buffet, and both were exceptionally tasty. The staff in the breakfast area were so nice and friendly each morning.

I would definitely recommend this place as an affordable, very nice place. They even have complimentary shuttle service that runs regularly around the area as well as to the airport and train station I would stay here again.

Nicely appointed, good location near downtown, washer and dryer available, airport shuttle and free area shuttle (Museum of the North, Pioneer Park, Fred Meyer, etc.), although the shuttle doesn’t leave until late mornings on weekdays and early afternoon on weekends.

Room Tip: Free area shuttle is nice, but stops limited.
