“The Wegmans Across the Street Makes it All Worthwhile”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2012

I was visiting the University of Mary Washington and stayed overnight at the Hampton Inn. The hotel is in a very commercial area with lots of shops and chain restaurants which is great for a family looking for cheap eats. There is also a brand new Wegmans grocery store within walking distance. The front desk staff was nice and someone called me soon after check in to make sure my room was okay. I had a king sized room that was extremely large. It easily could have accommodated two beds. The breakfast room was spacious but the breakfast itself was just okay. Overall, this is a very beautiful hotel (the general bathrooms on the first floor near the lobby were better than I have seen in classy restaurants) that has been kept up well. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

Consistently great hotel. Always friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms. I stay here on business a few times a year and it is always a good stay.

A planned six hour hour drive to this hotel turned into eight hours due to very heavy traffic around NYC (start of three day weekend and school vacation week). By the time we checked-in it was 1:30 AM. Person at desk was sympathetic and efficient in getting us keys, instructions, etc. Hotel, at least whet we saw of it, was clean and well maintained. Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. We love the way Hampton Inns launders the duvet (bead spread +blanket) after each person's stay - bed always feels clean. Breakfast was the usual fare (now includes good oatmeal) and was fine. Clean dining area and friendly staff. All in all a nice stay at reasonable prices. Close to several fast food restaurants and I-95.

selected this hotel based on tripadvisor reviews. This property is located at the quiet end of the largest shopping/ restuarant center I have seen anywhere. Free, level lit, parking surrounds the hotel.Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted by three very pleasant customer service staff eager to check us in. Provided with our room keys and the pasword for the free wifi, we bypassed the fresh cookies and went to the room.Within ten minutes the room telephone rang. The front desk was calling to ensure the room was to our satisfaction. WOW! NICE TOUCH! The room was well layed out with a large flat screen, granite topped tables, two queen beds with perfectly clean linens and a working desk and lounge chair. The bath was well appointed with a curved shower rail ( for more room) and granite counter top.m The outdoor pool was closed for the season but the lobby was beautiful with several areas for relaxing alone or with family/friends/business people. Breakfast was included in the lobby as was a compimentary copy of the USA TODAY newspaper. The breakfast haad many offierings from fresh fruit and danish to bagels and hot fresh waffles. Everyone in my party ate well and left happy.Upon checkout the staff was very polite and offered everyone checking out directions and offered to book their next room at a Hampton inn near the next destination. I would definitely return to this location and recommended it highly.

Room Tip: request a room that is on the front side of the building. the higway runs behind the hotel and may c...

If you're like me, staying in a hotel can be very stressful. I hate the thought of sleeping and showering where others have and I hate the thought of my toddler walking around barefoot and taking a bath in hotel tubs. Well, this Hampton Inn was very clean. On my way there I actually called and asked the front desk to ask housekeeping to make sure there was no hair left behind from the previous guests on the sink, toilet, shower, etc. I had a REALLY BAD experience at a brand new hotel once, not a Hampton, and now I'm scarred. The lady at the desk, I think she said her name was Diana, didn't hesitate to say she would make sure to tell housekeeping and she never made me feel awkward with my request. Housekeeping vacuumed our room everyday, cleaned the toilet and tub everyday, etc. They have a hot breakfast which is always a plus. This is a great place to stay and I will be staying there again if I go back to Fredricksburg. Also, it is right in the middle of great shopping and food!

After driving all day on our way to Florida, we decided to again stop and stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Fredericksburg.

As last year we were not disappointed by the staff and accommodations.

The room was clean and beds comfortable after the long drive.

Many good choice of restaurants in the area also.

This hotel is located at the northern end of the Central Park campus of shopping and dining establishments, easily accessible just off I-95 at Exit 130B. It's a great location.

The rooms are large, clean, quiet and nicely appointed. Similarly, the lobby and breakfast dining areas are clean and handsomely appointed. There are a variety of quality breakfast items.

We spent most of our time visiting with relatives who live in the area, and were only in the hotel at night to sleep. If someone has to spend more of their time at a hotel other than just sleeping there, this would be a great hotel to do it at.
