Ok, I'm not a big fan of going anywhere with bistro in the name but Bistro Bethem made a believer out of me!
It was awesome! Greeted and seated promptly! Interior atmosphere is elegant and cozy. It is just the kind of place you go with your significant other for a nice night out!
My friend pointed out the art hanging on the walls is for sale and produced by local artists so the interior decoration is constantly changing. Very nice touch.
Beautiful bar and wine racks!
Service was excellent!
Restaurants (and bistros) are supposed to be about the food, no disappointment there either. Menu was a little small by American standards but that is just fine with me! Plenty of selections to choose from. I had a grilled lamb special and it was superb! Perfectly done! It just seemed a little odd to have a kind of steak fries with the lamb in such a nice place but they were seasoned perfectly and not greasy like one would associate with "fries". Greens and homemade sausage were great. Portion size just a tad small for the price, expected at a bistro.
Love the bread and balsamic oil dip preceding the meal, always a classic touch.
Visit to Bistro Bethem was unexpected so I got caught in blue jeans and a hoodie. Don't be like me and dress nice when you go there.
