“Nice home away from home”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

The free breakfast buffet was long, with a waffle section, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, different kinds of rolls (even donuts!). The breakfast staff recognized us after the first day and continued to give us warm, friendly smiles as they greeted us every morning. They made us feel like VIPs. One of the best things about this place was the FREE washer/dryer on the second floor in the corner. Talk about convenient and cheap! We had room 210 on the second floor on the far side of the lobby overlooking the pool. Room was quiet, clean, and spacious.

This is the nicest motel I have stayed at in a long long time! I have paid three times the price for places that don't hold a candle to this one.

Full sized bedroom with a comfortable king size bed and TV, large bathroom, kitchen area with microwave, minifrig, small sink; AND a separate living room with desk, couch, chairs and a second flat screen TV. A home away from home.

The free breakfast was outstanding, you would be hard pressed to do as well at IHOP.

Room Tip: Open atrium. The higher floors (fifth) there is less noise from the pool.

Stayed here one night with short notice. The room was very large -- a true suite, with a wall separating the bed room from a living room. The furnishings, such as the bed spread, seemed a bit out of date. But everything was very clean: floors, sheets, towels, bathroom, etc. Hotel was very quiet on the evening I stayed. Breakfast included hot waffles, scrambled eggs, potatoes, coffee, orange juice. Internet access was via wireless (or you could use your own cat-5 cable), was easy to connect, and uptime was solid. Staff was friendly and both check-in and check-out were painless. Paid around $100, which was a little less than the other chains in the area.

Overall, this was a good choice and I would return.

We were able to get a room here late one evening while driving I95 from Orlando to Lancaster Pa. Not all that new, and showing some wear, but very clean and LOTS of room!! Beds were comfortable. Wish they would allow dogs during the Fredericksburg Do Shows in January because I would be back

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was large and spacious. We had a small get together after a graduation and the room was perfect for this. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was awesome. We'll definitely be staying again when we're in the Fredericksburg area.

Just returned from driving vacation around Virginia & really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is very conveniently located right off the I-95, with a visitor center and Cracker Barrel restaurant adjacent (within walking distance) to the parking lot, and the Potomac Mills outlet mall across the street. For those interested in historic Fredericksburg, it is about a 10 minute drive to the National Park Battlefield site, and about 15 minute drive to the downtown area. The hotel is very open & spacious, with an atrium, skylight-roof & pool indoors. There is a very nice breakfast area, and breakfast (somewhat better than the usual free breakfast) is included. On Thursday evenings, a complimentary "lite dinner" (unsure as not there then) is also included. The rooms are very spacious with a front room & sofa sleeper, kitchen area with refrigerator, microwave, etc., and bedroom with either doubles or king. The room was very comfortable, clean and had lots of amenities, including Bath & body Works products. The laundry facilities are complimentary (must buy or provide own detergent). This is a very good place for families but was a quiet place even though lots of kids were there, including my own!), and the rates were very reasonable. Too bad there are not more of these hotels in other places!

Room Tip: Recommend upper room as pool is on ground floor. Recommend 318; quiet & convenient to elevator.

One of the highlights to our trip to the OuterBanks each year is a stop over at the Wytestone Suites in Fredricksburg. We look forward to the giant rooms (all suites) that can accomodate 6 comfortably. The staff is super friendly. They have warm cookies each night and a complimentary light fare meal every Thursday night. Complimentary breakfast included prepared scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, grits, pancakes, make your own waffles, pastries, and fresh fruit. Kids love the free easy to access Wi-Fi. A wonderful value at $89 a night with AAA card. Hate to let the secret out or I won't be able to get a room the next time I come through!
