Stopped here in a snow storm on the way home from South Carolina. Were we happy. From the beautiful atrium with the pool and one of the nicest breakfast areas to the suites with the bedrooms in the back of the accomodations, we were very pleased.

The Wytestone Suites, off Route 95 in Frederisckburg, VA, is the perfect overnight stop for travelers up and down Route 95. It is conveniently located just off Route 95. It is all suites, so for my husband and I it is perfect, because he can watch all the "March Madness" he wants and I can just shut the bedroom door and read, sleep or watch the bedroom TV.
The suite includes a microwave and small refrigerator, as well.
We happened to stop on a Thursday night and they were offering a free dinner. It was simple, salad and hot dogs and beans, with cookies for dessert. But there are also several restaurants located within walking distance. They also offer a free hot breakfast every morning, which includes eggs, bacon, waffles, hot and cold cereal and more. The price of $89 for all this was really a good deal. The suite itself could use a little bit of work, but nothing that would make me walk out. The pocket door to the bathroom only opened half way, for instance.
They also offer nice soaps and shampoos by Bath and Body Works, not the usual hotel stuff.
There is an indoor, atrium pool, which is perfect in all weather. The kids there really enjoyed that feature.
All in all, I highly recommend this as an overnight stop or longer visit. The staff is very courteous and accommodating as well.

Stayed at Wytestone while touring historic Fredericksburg. While it is 8 mi from historic district it is well worth the drive. It's a clean, beautiful property and a super value! The indoor atrium w/ pool is welcoming! We loved the suite rooms w/ living room space/TV and a rear bedroom. Also super was a microwave, refrigerator, sink w/ small kitchenette. The room was perfect for a family to have some space for watching TV while other family members could rest in the bedroom. In addition, the full service buffet breakfast was great--eggs, sausage, grits, homemade oatmeal, waffles etc. made for the start of a great day!! We definitely will return again when in the area.

My group chose to stay here during our (Canadian) March Break as we were in the area visiting MCB Quantico and Washington, D.C. We stayed for 5 nights and were pleased with the selection of this establishment.

The rooms were very spacious - each and every single room was a suite, which meant that the living area was separate from the sleeping quarters. This was ideal for our group as we had 3-4 youth in each one. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and each room was stocked with all of the essentials (one of the best selection of toiletries I've seen as well!)

Breakfast was great - hashbrowns, sausages, biscuits, variety of breads, waffle machine, eggs, coffee, tea, etc. Again, one of the best hot breakfast selections around.

The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the seating area in the lobby. There were televisions and plenty of tables for the kids to play their card games and socialize. We particularly enjoyed the set-up of the hotel. It was all open space, so we could keep an eye on the comings and goings of each person. It lent very well to supervision.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to civilians and tourists. There is a Starbucks, Target, Kohl's, Wal-Mart and other shops nearby, which makes it great!

The hotel is convenient located off I-95 and to several gas stations, restaurants and shopping. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast buffet is great. It includes several freshly prepared hot dishes, a selection of breakfast cereals, juice, coffee, tea and continental type fare as well. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. This probably one of the best places to stay in the Fredericksburg area.

Room Tip: I prefer the second or third floor for no particular reason. I have not experienced a noise problem...
