Every aspect of our stay was perfect! The decor of the house is tasteful, comfortable, and warm. We not only enjoyed the house but also the grounds where there are several romantic spots to sit and talk and have a glass of wine. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and spotless! Although Lavender Heights is brand new, Jenny, the Innkeeper, knows exactly what she's doing. She has an obvious passion for her guests and cooked a breakfast that was incredibly delicious and filling. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and will definitely return.

This B&b was simply stunning!! My wife and I found this place while vacationing in historical fredricksburg, only seconds away from the main town we found it the perfect place to stay. We have stayed at a lot of b&b's, but never one so relaxing. The room we were in was beautiful. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, once you get in the sheets you will never want to get out of bed. Once you do tho you will find a relaxing soaking bathtub that fits two, perfect after hours of walking around historic downtown. The breakfast In he morning was straight out of a 5 start resort, I'm a huge breakfast fan and it was incredibly yummy! There is a lot of things to do around town, but you will find it hard to leave the house due to the picture perfect rooms and the great places to sit and read next to the fish ponds. This place is a must stay while in the area, we will most defiantly be back very soon!!

We spent two days at this B&B - the grounds and house itself are beautiful and well taken care of - the pictures on the website do it justice. The location is good - just minutes from downtown Fredericksburg and the University of Mary Washington - would be a great place for Mary Wash parents to stay. There are fresh baked cookies and a glass of wine offered on your arrival. There is coffee and tea available all day thanks to a single-cup coffee maker in the dining room.

We stayed in Molly's Retreat, which was a comfortable and inviting room. The bed was absolutely one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in, with Godiva chocolates on the pillows, too! The bathroom, like the rest of the house, was very clean and elegant.

The breakfast at this B&B is not just an afterthought, which is what we were looking for. Our first morning we had orange juice, fresh fruit with a five-spice honey glaze, English muffins with apple butter and apricot jam, bacon, and omelets with mushrooms, peppers, and onions inside. Our second morning we had orange and apple juice, fresh fruit with a citrus yogurt topping, freshly baked cherry scones (SO good) with apricot jam and lingonberry jam, sausage, and a delicious quiche. Both breakfasts were wonderful and filling.

Jenny, the owner, is very friendly and a great host. We hope to visit again the next time we're in Fredericksburg.

My husband and I spent a weekend at the Lavender Heights Bed and Breakfast and could not have been happier! We were looking for a quiet, relaxing weekend away and that was exactly what we got. The inn was very clean, comfy and well decorated, with lots of space to lounge. We stayed in Ellie's Suite and were happy to have the separate sitting room and fridge, as well as the whirlpool tub. The bed and linens were incredibly comfortable! I loved the little touches like the Godiva chocolates on the pillows and the snacks and robes in the room. Jenny, the owner, was incredibly friendly and a wonderful host.
