“Good food, great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

We have been here several times now and have always been happy. The food is very good and there is a lot you can do with taco combinations. There chip's are good, the salsa is ok but there are several different varieties to try. The guacamole is very good. Also, this is one of the few reasonable priced restaurants in Boston/Brookline. Definitely worth a visit, especially before a Red Sox game. They also have a huge outdoor patio.

“They had an off night, but I might return”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013 via mobile

I went to Mission Cantina on a Sunday night with my boyfriend and his sister. It was fairly empty and we were able to sit outside. As we walked in, we heard two separate tables complaining that they hadnt gotten their food. Despite this, we ordered guac, some margaritas, and 2 tacos and an enchilada. The guac came out quickly and was good, but our drinks never came. Our entrees came out but still no drinks. The tacos were good but the enchiladas were cold. The drinks finally came out after our meal (I'd sent the enchiladas back and gotten new ones) The staff was apologetic but not very attentive and nothing was comped off of our bill in return for our mishaps. Unfortunately, I would only return here if I wanted a (maybe) quick taco and drinks (eventually.)

“Really really good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

I came not expecting much and was really surprised. The quality of Mexican food in Boston has been creeping up, along with prices. This place gets the balance right. Try the chicken mole. I'm addicted. It is almost at good as Gabbi's in Orange, CA. My wife, who grew up in So Cal, feels like she has finally found a home for the Mexican food that she craves. The chips are fantastic, best in Boston, the salsa isn't quite as good as La Verdad.

“Grande and Delicioso”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

We've eaten here twice and plan to return. Chips are cheap and come with three tasty house made salsas, verde, pineapple, and smoked. Mole chicken was rich without being heavy, and the portion was huge (grande), easily enough for two. Appetizers are equally grande; we've split one each time and both of us had ample to enjoy. A lovely place for al fresco, summer evening drinks or dining on picturesque Beacon street.

“Great food and enjoyable atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

I have been to this restaurant twice now. It has excellent and authentic Mexican food. The menu is limited but what is on offer has all been great. The prices are quite reasonable despite the absence of free chips and salsa. The atmosphere is fun and convivial and the service is very friendly, though the bar is at times a little slow depending on how busy it is. All in all this is great place for food, drinks and fun, and we will definitely go back!
