Friends recommended La Morra to my boyfriend and me, and they were right. The atmosphere is charming, the food is exquisite, and the service is great. With a place this good, you expect a wait at peak times - as long as you factor that in to your plans, it's well worth it. Two thumbs up on this place. It's a great "date night" or "special occasion" place - feels like something special, even though it's right here in the neighborhood.

We went to La Morra for restaurant week and couldn't have been more pleased. We were greeted as if we were regulars. We sat at the bar and had lots of help ordering items for the four! courses. All were wonderful, especially my Cornish hen and the tomato bread pudding. Servings were ample. We took half of ours home. Will definitely be back.

Well, we had a prix fixed dinner. With wine...it was not what we expected. We got there at 620, didn't get through until 1030...Each wine that they served with an tasting was wonderful, although we only got 1/4 glass, and the bottles were never left for us to finish during our dinner. strange, since we had paid for them. The food was odd...like swordfish made into meatballs....anyway, there were 6 of us, we never hand any real Italian food.In my option. oh the one dish that had pasta in it looked like magets...so sorry to say...not worth the money..

I have driven past this restaurant for years, but it wasn't till making reservations last minute for my boss was when I found out how wonderful it is. He has done nothing but rave about it since that night, so my husband checked it out on our anniversary. The reals were fantastic and truly unique. Who would have thought to put lobster an zucchini together in a pasta dish. The staff was delightful and very accommodating for my pickiness. Great meal and definitely will be going back.

Taken by friends for a "casual" Italian dinner. Tucked away near Brookline in Boston, this traditional family run restaurant was a treat. Full to capacity - you have to book a table even on a weekday - the informal ambience sets it off. The menu was extensive, inviting, and the selection we had was delicious: Hanger steak, Chicken and Crusted veal, with accompanying vegetables, asparagus cooked to perfection. Very reasonably priced and an average dinner will cost $40 to $50 each. Generous portions. Savour the taste! Will certainly return when possible. Parking tight on the street but a short walk is fine.
