I was disappointed to see the negative TA reviews here, but... here we go: went here with the in-laws, who have been here before, primarily because of the extensive and delicious options on the gluten free menu. I had the chicken BLT, which was outstanding - fresh veggies, tender chicken and thick bacon slices. The plate was not overloaded with fries, either. It was a satisfying meal. My wife and her mom got salads, both of which were huge and both enjoyed them. I'm sorry, I can't remember my father in law's meal, but he said it was very good as well. RJ, our waiter, was fantastic, all around.
We sat in the upstairs area, with a view below, so I guess we were more fortunate than those reviewers that had to sit by the door. I can see how there could have been a draft, but I'll add that we were there this past Sunday and it was BITTERLY cold and windy, and I don't recall seeing anyone complaining, be it at the bar or the tables near the door. Perhaps the heavy curtain by the door is new? Anyway, we've also heard from other family that the restaurants in this location have changed hands many times over the years, for what that's worth. There's parking in the back (even with the large snow piles, we found parking in back), but, as with any city parking, to do so on the street is all about timing. This is a nice area of Brookline to walk when the weather is more agreeable, and would seem that this restaurant would be a draw.
