A week before we were due to visit Boston we had nowhere to stay. After what seemed like hours of searching on the internet we found the Courtyard Brookline. It sounded ideal, and we were not disappointed. It is a modern hotel in a very good location. There is easy access to the centre of Boston via the T, the stop is just outside the hotel, and also easy access to the Mass Turnpike.

There are a reasonable number of restaurants within walking distance and we would recommend Nikos (greek), Rani (indian) and Victor's Cafe (east european/russian).

If we were to return to Boston we would definitely consider staying at the Courtyard Brookline again.

The hotel is in a good location if you are looking for something just outside from the centre of the city. There are lots of local shops and restaurants nearby. The T-stop (Coolidge Corner) on the green line is less than 5 mins walk away. The hotel is fairly new and is the "Courtyard" type which only offers breakfast. Evening meals consist of take away menus from local restaurants which have an arrangement to deliver to the hotel. They can also charge the meals to you hotel bill.

We were extremely disappointed with the cleanliness, having found sheets with holes and marks in. This was just on the first night and even after having our room cleaned on the second day we found more! Also we found the rate we paid the same as for the Marriott in the centre of town.

Location was great near the T and the neighborhood offered restaurants, coffee shops, markets and bookstores. We stayed 4 nights and never moved the car from the garage (which is a big plus in Boston).

Pool size was tiny but the kids didn't care. Also liked that the room was quiet even though our room overlooked busy Beacon Street. The room was equiped with a fold out couch which worked well for my family of 4 and we all fought over the heated massage chair which was an added treat.

Oddly, my sisters in another room (same price) had no couch or massage chair, just an unplugged fridge so ask what's available before you book.

Front desk staff was very helpful but maid staff was less thorough and left half filled glasses untouched.

Overall a fine visit.

A very suitable hotel when visiting the area for a short stay. Rooms were a nice size, and clean. A parking garage is attached to the hotel, offering parking for an additional fee. The location is very good, with many conveniences (restaurants, drug stores, etc) within walking distance. The only small issue we had was with the pillows, which are very tall.

A nice new hotel-- spacious, clean, pleasant hotel staff. Beds were firm yet cushy. Never slept on anything like it before. The business center was small and was obviously an afterthought. The pool was tiny and was the size of half a lane at a bowling alley. I laughed when I saw it because it was somehow cute. Around the corner was the T which leads you downtown very easily. Coolidge Corner is a pleasant little enclave itself with small shops and restaurants. Parking was $15 a night for hotel guests.
