I am not sure what it going on in the kitchen of Vinotopia; the restaurant you'll find inside Cinetopia; located in Vancouver, WA. But I can tell you what our last experience was like and it was disappointing!
My wife and I dropped in just for an early dinner on the 9th of November. We were seated promptly and our drink order was taken. When placing our orders for dinner, Sandy ordered the Greek Salad that is usually a sure bet. Being adventurous, I ordered the Nachos, then we waited..........Food was going to other tables, not ours. People that were seated after us were eating now, so we inquired about when our food would arrive. Telling us “soon” and that “nachos take some time”, we waited a bit more. This I must say is not normal for Vinotopia, but sure didn't make our dining experience any better.
When the food arrived, the Greek Salad was bland, with little flavor. Sandy noted it was well short of the quality she was accustom to. My nachos on the other hand were a joke, not a funny one either. Luke warm, canned or old chicken was added, but was hard to find, the black olives were about to turn, as were the tomatoes. What a disaster!
Food quality here has been generally better that average and the environment made it a fun local place to go, though that quality was not consistent. Now the kitchen seems to have given up. They are not even trying when the nachos they served me pale in comparison to those I can find at our local Baja Fresh!
Other that writing this review, we will not be dining at Vinotopia again until I hear that they are improving and cannot recommend them to you as their food quality is not what it should be .
