“Great food, good value and plenty to take extras home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Though the dining has few frills, the food is cooked fresh and customized to your likes. The staff is friendly, but it's still a fast food environment.

“Fine, Fresh, Fast Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Strada is not gourmet Italian food---but on a cold, wet evening it offers fresh and tasty options for take-out or dining-in---a hot meal you don't have to prepare yourself. Pricing seems comparable to similar places in this area. This new restaurant is clean and pleasant, and the employees helpful and courteous. You may order one of the listed combinations of pasta, sauce, meat, chicken or salmon, and numerous extras---or make up your own, We find the larger pasta bowl too large for the average diner, although it could easily be shared. We usually order one smaller one each, sometimes adding on soup or salad to make up a nice dinner. There are nice choices for the sauces and "extras," but I wish there were additional choices for the pasta base as well, and not just the ubiquitous spaghetti. The wraps are also made to order, and there are Strada Sticks (rather small breadsticks), a Tuscan White Bean and Artichoke Dip, and side salads or soups also available. The Cannoli Dip dessert is a combo of Italian soft cheeses and Chocolate---it might be nice to have another choice or two for this also.
Because we live nearby, so far we have always chosen take-out---the packaging is secure and the food stays hot until we get it home. There are always people dining in, and there is a variety of seating available in a modern, open setting.

“BY FAR, the worst excuse for Italian food I have ever encountered”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

Okay, so I am Italian. And when I left home, my mother's parting advice was never to expect restaurants with Italian in the name to taste anything even vaguely resembling the food I got at home. So despite my heritage, I do "aim low" whenever I go to Italian or even quasi-Italian restaurants because sixty plus years of experience in the real world has taught me that Mama was right. But Strada beats all. Whatever else it is, it is NOT "The Street Food of Italy" and I may just have to send in my Cousin Vito and some of his associates to pay them a visit to make that point. What it is is approximately a sandwich-salad-pasta buffet which allows you to "make your own" combinations therein. That they use a few Italian meats (not many or much!) and splash some pusilanimous sauce they label marinara or alfredo on it, does not make it Italian. It's fast - if what you are looking for is quick. And it's fresh - I'll grant you that. And they do, for example, actually grill the steak portions they cut up to add to the sandwich, salad or pasta so I know that all of it is not directly from the freezer. But Italian it is not. And as to "street food of Italy" - someone has GOT to be kidding. If this food was lucky, it was imported from Portland, across the river. And did I mention that despite the BIG bowl for salad or pasta combinations and the big (and tasteless) wrap for the piadini (more or less a extremely thin, grilled pizza dough pancake), the actual portions you get of meat, cheese, vegetables, etc. are extremely stingy.

“Fresh & tasty food; TERRIBLE value”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Had the "Salerno" and a cup of chopped Caprese salad. Quality of food far overshadowed by the small portions and high prices. No need to return.

“Tasty Italian Fast Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Pasta bowls, piadini (wraps), soup, and salads prepared to order at a Chipotle style counter. Wide choices of meats, cheeses, sauces, and veggies to add to your initial choice. Pasta bowl is on the large side. The wrap by itself is a bit small for dinner, but when combined with half a pasta bowl, soup, or salad becomes a complete meal.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating of novice customers. I'll definitely be back.
