I love officers row. The houses and park are wonderful. It's never crowded and quite and peaceful. The best park in Vancouver.

“a nice drive by”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2013

Just as named: old , now decommissioned Fort Vancouver Army Post, now decommissioned and the city has acquired a lot of it including the old officers row, most of it dating back to the early 1800's. It was all restored in the 70's and is beautiful to look at. Three buildings are open to the public; a restaurant, a museum and a host house. The rest are office rentals. It is s lovely tree lined walk/drive and a good place to watch parades and other activities. The rebuilt old Fort Vancouver is a national monument site and just a medium walk across a grassed field.

“Beautiful spot 4 seasons of the year.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Officer's Row consists of a 1/4 mile long street of gorgeous Victorian houses which date from the 1800's and housed luminaries from the days of Vancouver's importance as the major military outpost in the Northwest. The houses have all been lovingly preserved and restored for modern use as commercial space and one is a very good restaurant for lunch and dinner. The street is flanked by beautiful, giant oak trees and there are rhododendrons and azaleas blooming in May and June. The property contains a huge, landscaped park where travelers can stretch their legs and enjoy the nice spring, summer or fall weather. The Row is a lovely, restful site for visitors of all ages and an educational opportunity about the early settlement of the Northwest.
