Upon our arrival, there was an issue with the billing on our reservation. I booked this reservation for two rooms one a king bed, the other one 2 very small queen beds. The rooms were assigned to the wrong couples. Due to the desk clerk's bad attitude that day, we elected NOT to try and fix that issue. We had just flown into Portland, OR and were tired travelers just trying to get a room for some needed rest before our vacation started.

The hotel exterior was immaculate and the grounds were just beautiful including the little pond in front of the hotel. Other than the room mixup, the rooms were very nice and clean. The housekeeping staff are out very early cleaning rooms, so if you are a late sleeper make sure you put a sign on your door.

The Breakfast Bar was great, with both hot and cold foods. We were there a week and weren't able to sample everything during our stay. When we would come back to the hotel after a day of viewing local attractions we were welcomed with a hot bowl of soup and lots of cookies. What a delight!!

The indoor pool and spa was great. During the week, we had both to ourselves. We felt we had our own little private resort, especially since the pool and spa was open 24 hours.

I booked this hotel based on the recommendations from Trip Advisor, we were not sorry we did. It's a beautiful hotel in a great location. The area is close to the university and felt very safe and nice. We were impressed by the continental breakfast bar as it was very well laid out and had a variety of hot and cold items. We would absolutely stay here again if we visit the Portland area in the future. Great value for the price of the hotel as well.

Stayed for two nights while on business. The hotel lobby was one of the neatest lobbies...the decorations are just wonderful. The check in/out staff were very friendly. The room was very nice as well. Had no complaints. The breakfast buffet was nice, variety of cold and some hot foods. The pool seemed cleaned. My co-worker said the gym was very nice as well. There are some restaurants a few miles away. I would definitely stay here again whether it was for business or pleasure.

This was no doubt the nicest hotel we encountered on a recent two week vacation in the Northwest. Actually, we ended up here because the place we intended to stay was booked up, for which I'm grateful, as this hotel turned out to be a real gem!

The location is in the Salmon Creek area of Vancouver, and offers convenient access to both I-5 and I-205. With the freeways so close, it's easy to get most anywhere in the Vancouver/Portland area.

The front desk staff was exceptionally professional and friendly, and had fresh baked cookies waiting.

Everything from the lobby and common areas to the rooms themselves made for an upscale yet comfortable atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, attractive and well appointed. Housekeeping service was excellent, and the entire facility was clean from top to bottom, inside and out.

The complimentary continental breakfast was great, even offering a couple of hot items in addition to the standard Holiday Inn Express fare. The dining area was well stocked and serviced by a hostess.

The room rate we paid (we booked online, but with fairly short notice), was very reasonable. I would have expected to pay a little more for a property this nice.

The hotel made for a truly enjoyable and comfortable stay. I would highly recommend it.
