the drains didn't drain, the bathroom door wouldn't stay shut, the drawers kept opening, the maid didn't do a good job, we didn't get clean wash clothes. Not worth what I paid. Very disappointed with this Red Lion

Thank you very much for your review. I am disappointed to hear that cleanliness and condition standards were not met in your guest room. This is not a good example of what we wish to present to our guests. It is our objective to provide a warm welcome, outstanding customer service and very clean accommodations for each of our guests. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience so that we can make necessary corrections. I will address the issues you shared in your review in hopes that we can improve in those areas. This is a great hotel, good value and comfortable, clean, and nice people.I liked the fact that this hotel isn't too full of dogs as most go to the Red Lion in OR. As a result its not so busy with dogs !

We stayed here for a New Years Eve event. Check in was a snap, parking was easy, and electronic key entry on all outside doors made us feel secure. Room was spotless and comfortable with tv, desk, iron/board and complimentary coffee/tea. We were greeted very pleasantly by all including cleaning personnel. The Quay Restaurant located inside had our dinner seats reserved right on time with delicious and filling food and more friendly staff. The entertainment of the live band in there was just over the top excellent. Brunch in The Quay Restaurant the next morning was buffet style that was probably the best breakfast I've had in years, with something for everyone and too many delicious choices to make in one sitting. We will most certainly be back to stay again.

Hotel maybe dated but the service was exceptionally well I was welcomed aT check in there was no problem during our stay with bathroom problems, our room is extremely comfortable knowing that we were at a company party overnight they put us in a corner room on the top floor so we wouldn't be interrupted by neighbors above us which was exceptionally polite of them and I would come back and Again.

A friend and I were in the Vancouver, Wa, area for a dog show, and had several dogs with us. Lots of walking space for the dogs, and LOTS of trash cans for doggie leavings. Everyone made us feel welcome.

Its a 3 star hotel for a reason, customer service was pretty good.
The bathroom on the other hand, was pretty disgusting. The tub was
dirty and had small hairs in it, the water was slowly draining while in the shower.
Other than the disgusting bathroom, everything else was fantastic.

Bad service! Bird poop on a dining room window that nobody cleaned for the two days I was there! I had no hot water in my room and they didnt fix it or offer a room change! They dont take the time to update the channel guide in the room so you end up channel surfing for 10mins. Light bulbs out all over. In short lazy maintenance staff, medicore customer service.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our facility. We really appreciate the feedback as it gives us the opportunity to address issues that are most important to our guests. We strive to provide a clean, friendly and welcoming environment for each person that visits our hotel. Some of the items you mentioned will be addressed immediately (such as the bird droppings on the Restaurant windows). We will address the service issues departmentally. However, there is good news! Our building is no longer pending closure and we are updating. We will be installing new flat screen TV's and a brand new bed linen package this month. Those items are just the beginning of many (much neeeded) updates to come. Thank you again for sharing your observations. We hope that you will visit us the next time you are in the area to see what we've done.

The Red Lion Hotel Vancouver at the Quay is located on the Columbia River in Vancouver, Washington. The hotel is less than a mile west of the Interstate Bridge on the I-5 on the Washington/Oregon border. It is easily accessed from the I-5, travelling North or South (EXIT 1-C). In addition to waterfront guest rooms, meeting and event space, the Red Lion Hotel Vancouver at the Quay also features a full service Restaurant and Lounge with live music every Friday and Saturday night. The cover charge is free to our hotel guests. The Renaissance Trail, which runs alongside the hotel property, paralell to the river, is a four mile paved path for your choice of walking, jogging, cycling or strolling. Esther Short Park and the Vancouver Farmer's Market are also in walking distance from the hotel. Besides the Quay Restaurant and Bar, there are many other great Restaurant choices close by. There are countless options for local shopping from antique stores in downtown Vancouver to the Vancouver Mall to Portland's metropolitan shopping experience. We are only a ten minute drive from downtown Portland and fifteen minutes from the Portland International Airport. We do offer a free shuttle to and from the PDX Airport and the Vancouver Amtrak station.
