“A perfect last evening in Savannah”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

We chose 45 Bistro as the spot to have dinner on our last evening in Savannah. We had looked over the menu ahead of time and compared it with several other possible restaurants. We were hoping we wouldn't be disappointed... and we weren't!
We both selected featured items that were not on the regular menu - my husband had an espresso rubbed rib steak (asparagus and fingerling potatoes) and I had a pork osso bucco that simply melted in my mouth. There were lots of options for appetizers and desserts. The highlight was the exceptional service we received from our server, Dan. While the food was excellent, the service made the evening all that we had hoped for. We had expensive menu items, before drinks, after drinks and wine with dinner and still spent less than $200 all in. Well worth it! Highly recommend a visit to 45 Bistro if you are looking for something special.

“Poor value for the money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We recenly had a disappointing weeknight dinner at 45 Bistro. The beet salad was tasty, but our entrees (pork chop, chicken breast) were uninspired and the sides were unappetizing. The spinach seemed to be mixed with pulled pork, giving it a nasty flavor, and the risotto was mushy and tasteless. I expected much more for the price. Most entrees were $30 and up. We waited about 25 minutes for our entrees after the salad plates were cleared. The restaurant was not very busy, so I don't know what the problem was.

“Excellent service; however...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

Excellent service, however, it is a very loud room. We were unable to hear each other speak for most of the meal. The wine list is adequate. The Pate was very good and the beet salad was very good. I had the Osso Buco which was, at best, average. Cocktails were very good.

“Charming and Delightful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013 via mobile

Were staying in The Marshall House next door and had decided to give it a try. Ate early (6:30) on a Wednesday night and the dining room was pretty empty. Seated immediately and I server was quite efficient, personable and helped us enjoy our dining experience. Nice wine selection and the waiter discussed each possibility knowingly. My wife and I shared a bowl of the she crab soup....nice on the spicy side, lots of crab and plenty for two. We both had grouper off the menu.....grouper on bed of spinach and other vegetables; topped with a pecan glaze we think....in any case it was VERY good. Finished sharing their "signature dessert" ......very tasty and perfect ending to a very good meal.

“Cannot wait to go back...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

Seriously, excellent food across the board. Great wine, perfect crab cakes in a city were everyone has the best. Homemade bread was fresh and hot with olive oil and pesto to dip in. Steak, fish and pork chops were all cooked to perfection and the signature dessert is worth every penny. Missed out on this gem to Vic's during restaurant week, glad we choose to come a few weeks after. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and allowed us time to enjoy food. Recommend and cannot wait to return.
