“great for the price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

There is only one negative thing I can say about this hotel. We arrived very late and had to pick up the phone outside the locked doors to be let in. The attendant was a tad slow, figuratively and literally. We know about parking on the streets, so when it's Sunday and the sign says sweep days on Wednesday, we can park overnight. He didn't seem to understand that or he was trying to get us for a parking fee. The hotel is in a great location, its' clean, spacious, lovely and really inexpensive.

We have been in Savannah many times, but thought we'd try this hotel. It was great! Everyone was so friendly-from the valet people (Even though we parked in the garage across the street), to the people behind the desk, as well as the rest of the staff. It's location made it possible to slip in and out again easily, or just relax with a tea and coffee (and delicious cookies) by the Bay Street window. The room itself was very clean. We appreciated the instant hot water and little toiletries left for us. The Christmas Season is a great time to enjoy the city.

Room Tip: We had a room facing Bay Street which tended to be a bit noisy with the traffic. It may not be so ba...

The Hampton is in a great location and the staff is extremely courteous, friendly, and welcome. The rates were reasonable, and the complimentary breakfast was great. This Hampton doesn't have a restaurant, so no room service, which at first disappointed us. But Historic Savannah is full of great restaurants and great places to see. It would be a shame to just sit in your room.

Visited this hotel during family outing in December 14. Good value for the price. Excellent location to Riverwalk & Market areas. Close to beginning point for several tours. Thirty to forty five minute drive to Tybee Island beach and lighthouse. Close to numerous excellent restaurants.

Great location - walking distance to the river front for shopping and dining. Great staff. Great selection for breakfast. Can't wait to stay at this hotel again. No complaints at all. We could not have asked for a better experience during our stay.

Park your car and forget it. You're within walking distance of everything in the historic district. The staff was world class, not only meeting expectations but anticipating them. The building exudes charm with high end touches throughout. You can feel the history even before you walk out the door. Breakfast is one of the best I've had at a hotel breakfast bar serviced by personable, charming people. I'll definitely be back!

Room Tip: Valet parking is $20 but is safe and secure. Cookies at 5 pm but they disappear quickly. There'...

At first, we were disappointed at the location. However, very shortly were impressed with this little hotel. It is within walking distance of the river front area and even closer to the historical area. It is inexpensive, well kept and offers cookies and coffee all afternoon and evening. The breakfast was very good, as is usually the case with this chain. But the best thing was the staff, Very friendly and helpful.
