Great location with easy access to the Historic District and the Riverfront. The staff was excellent...from the front desk, to the maid service to the valet parking attendants. They were all very friendly, helpful and attentive. We were concerned at first given our room was faced East Bay with all the street traffic but the outside noise was minimal and didn't cause any sleep issues. Noise from above and from the hall did cause some sleep issues on the second night. The breakfast buffet was a little "underwhelming", so much so that on the second morning of our two night stay we considered going somewhere else for breakfast. But since it was raining we decided to eat at the buffet again. The rooms were a little dated and the doors to some of the rooms on our floor were chipped and worn. Overall, the Hampton was a nice nice place to stay.
